Melinda Vest, aged 55, passed away on September 20, 2021 at University Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Richard Earl and “Diane” Clara Mills.
Melinda was a member of Church of Christ in Greenwood, Mississippi. She was a homebody who cooked delicious dressing, loved a clean house, and enjoyed her makeup. She had two sets of twins and always honored each of them with their own cake. She loved her grandchildren and spoiled them excessively. Being an animal lover, she loved her dog, Cuddles.
Melinda is survived by her mother, Clara Diane Mills Vest of Gore Springs, Mississippi; two sons, Richard Moss of French Camp, Mississippi and Ronnie Burkett of Gore Springs, Mississippi; two daughters, Siegelinde (Nathan) Mitchell of McCool, Mississippi and Amber (Jake) Medders of Gore Springs, Mississippi; and eight grandchildren, Garin Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, Tinsleigh Foster, Jaxson Medders, McKenzi Medders, Jacob Medders, Kaylee Medders, and Karlee Medders.
Melinda is preceded in death by her father, Richard Earl Vest, and one brother, Richard Earl Vest III.
A graveside service for Melinda Vest will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother John Goldwater and Brother John Staszefski. Pallbearers are Nathan Mitchell, Jake Medders, Marty Mitchell, Garin Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, and Jacob Medders. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
