Johnny Vaughn, age 68, passed away on August 22, 2022, at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. He was born on December 21, 1953, to the late John Alvin and Nancy Elizabeth Belue Vaughn.

Johnny attended Maben school. He was a resident of Mississippi his entire life. Before being disabled, Johnny was an avid hunter and fisherman and he especially loved riding backroads in his spare time. His family says that he had the best sense of humor and cut up with all the people he cared for.

Johnny is survived by three sons, Troy Preston Vaughn, Johnny Preston Vaughn Jr., and Matthew Preston Vaughn (Victoria), all of New Hope, Mississippi; one daughter, Patricia Renee Vaughn of New Hope, Mississippi; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Vaughn of Caledonia, Mississippi, and Mark Edwin Vaughn (Carol) of Pheba, Mississippi; two sisters, Elizabeth Annette Swindle (Randy) of Mathiston, Mississippi, and Patricia Boatright of Eupora, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Katie Vaughn, Faith Vaughn, and Courageous Vaughn.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Alvin and Nancy Elizabeth Belue Vaughn and two brothers, Jerry Alton Vaughn and James Dannie Vaughn.

Funeral service for Johnny Vaughn will be Friday, August 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. Bro. Donny Buckner will officiate the services. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Wise Reed Funeral Home in Eupora, Mississippi. The Graveside Service will be held at Wise Reed Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. Burial will follow at Center Grove Cemetery in Oktibbeha County. Pallbearers are Troy Vaughn, Johnny Vaughn Jr., Matthew Vaughn, Mark Vaughn Jr., Cole Vaughn, Kevin Vaughn, Cory Vaughn, and Thomas Malone. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Vaughn and Mark Vaughn. Wise Reed Funeral Home oversees all arrangements.

The family wants to especially thank all the personnel at Diversicare of Eupora for their many kindnesses shown to Johnny.
