John Wayne Morelan, aged 71, passed away at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi on September 9, 2021. He was the husband of Lisa Cook Morelan and son of the late Johnny Henry and Sarah Kathleen Watson Morelan.

He served his country during the Vietnamese War from December of 1969 to March of 1971 where he earned two purple hearts.
