James Robert Skelton, aged 73, passed away on December 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was married to Debbie Haven Skelton and

James Robert lived in Bellefontaine, Mississippi his entire life. He even attended his first two years of elementary school at Bellefontaine School. He met the love of his life, Debbie Haven Skelton, and they married on April 4, 1959. They made their life together raising two children. They always told each other they would be together forever, and they had fifty-two and a half wonderful years with lots of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. He enjoyed farming, raising Walker Dogs for fox hunting, deer hunting, and attending fox field trials. He loved going to watch his son, Todd, drive raise cars. Most importantly he loved his family and the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith in the Lord was strong. He was an active Gideon member and helped to start the jail ministry in Eupora, Mississippi. He traveled from Parchmen Penitentiary through North Mississippi and even Birmingham, Alabama sharing his love of Christ to everyone he met within the speaking audience and beyond.
