Bonnie Andrews Shaw Latham, age 86, passed away September 29,2023 at North MS Medical Center of Eupora, after a fall in her home.
Bonnie was born in Choctaw county on May 26, 1937, to Celess Cummings and Emmitt Andrews. She worked at Wells Lamont Gloves for forty-four years. She was married to A.D. Shaw until his death. After many years by herself, she met and married Thurman Latham. They enjoyed travelling until his death.
Bonnie loved being outside and working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She enjoyed traveling with her three sisters and what they called “the Andrews Sisters Trips.” She traveled in all fifty states and all the provinces of Canada. She loved to go on a cruise with Thurman.
She was a member of the Eupora Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Norvelle Weeks of Eupora, MS and two sisters in law, Lorene Andrews of Mathiston, MS and Jeanne Murphy of Ackerman, MS; one daughter, Janice Meek of Eupora, MS; two sons, Bob Latham (Sallie) of Natchez, MS and Bill Latham (Betsy) of Jackson, MS; Nine grand children and many great grandchildren. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends and coworkers.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt J. Andrews, and Celess Cummings; husbands, A.D. Shaw and Thurman Latham; one daughter, Dianna Adams; three brothers, Waylon, Emmitt J. Jr, and Glendon Andrews; and two sisters, Marvine Hood, and Sarah Alice Murphy.
A Graveside Service for Bonnie S. Latham will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at Eupora City Cemetery beginning at 11:00 am. Reverend Nathan Phillips will officiate.
