Reverend Barkley DeWitt Lott, at 80 years of age, passed away January 1, 2022, at his home in Eupora, Mississippi. He was the husband of Jane Goodrum Lott and son of the late Reverend Barkley Henry and Beatrice Smith Lott.
He met the one and only love of his life, Jane, at a Church of God Camp Meeting in Jackson, Mississippi in June 1966. He and Jane were married three months later on September 18, 1966, and were still devoted to each other fifty-five years later. Dewitt was a retired minister of the Church Of God where he pastored for forty-two years. He pastored many churches throughout Mississippi, but they had made their home in Eupora, Mississippi for the past thirty years. Together they reared four children. Pastor Dewitt Lott was a devoted husband and father who served God, served his family, and served others.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter; Tabitha (Lee) Shuffield of Maben, Mississippi, three sons; Pastor Timothy (Allyce) Lott of Lake, Mississippi, Dr. Trent (Keren) Lott of Sebastopol, Mississippi, and Terence (Jennifer) Lott of Pearl, Mississippi, thirteen grandchildren; Taylor (Lexi) Lott, Bryce Callie (Joseph) Leach, Nathan Lott, Camden Lott, Memory Shuffield, Katlyn Nicole Lott, Allee Grace Shuffield, Aleeah Marie Shuffield, Dayton Lott, Blakely Elizabeth Lott, Sophia Jane Lott, Cayden Lott, and Ty Lott, one great-grandchild; Layton Leach, and three sisters-in-laws; Rachel Lott, Yvonne Lott, and Gail Lott.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Rev. B. H. and Beatrice Lott, six brothers; Reverend P. L. Lott, Roy Lott, David Lott, Henry Lott, Walter Lott, and Wallace Lott; three sisters, Reba Helms, Bernice McGaugh, and Deanie Wilkerson, and one grandchild; Dawson Barkley Lott.
