Obituary for Austin Brent Miller

Austin Miller, age 34, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at North MS Medical Center in Eupora. He was a beloved husband and a proud father to two precious young daughters. He was a devoted Christian and an active member of Amazing Grace Ministries.

Austin was born in Flowood on December 18, 1986. He attended Starkville Academy, where he was a member of the drum line. He obtained his commercial driver’s license and began driving a truck at the age of 23. He met the love of his life, Jazzalyn, in October, 2012. They were married two years later on October 11, 2014. They began their family with their oldest daughter, Adler Blair, being born September 4, 2015, followed by their second daughter, Everleigh Rae, born March 25, 2019. He and Jazzalyn formed their own trucking business, A & E Miller Trucking, in 2019.

Austin’s family was his whole world. He was an extremely hard worker and did everything in his power to make sure they were able to live a comfortable life. He was devoted to being a loving husband and the perfect “girl” dad. He loved his girls with all his heart. He was a true family man. When he wasn’t working, he could be found spending time with Jazz and his girls. Austin was well respected as can be as noted by the numerous friends he had. He touched a lot of lives and will be missed by so many.

Austin is survived by his wife, Jazzalyn Smith Miller of Mantee; daughters, Adler Blair (5) and Everleigh Rae (2); his mother, Deborah Lynn Crocker Miller of St. Petersburg, FL; his grandmother, Mary Frances Crocker of Starkville, MS; one sister, Braden Miller Turner (Champ) of Maben, MS; two nieces, Rivers and Magnolia “Nolie” Turner; and three nephews, Stamps, Miller and Maverick Turner.

Austin was preceded in death by his father, Herman Elwood “Buddy” Miller, III, and his grandfather, John Robert “Bobby” Crocker of Starkville, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wise-Reed Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Wise-Reed Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Brother Curtis Hollingsworth. Burial will follow the funeral service at Lebanon Cemetery in Webster County, MS.

Pallbearers include Tadd Cain, Zack Ray, Douglas Barnett, Zach Crimm, Brent Crimm and Cody Swindle. Honorary pallbearers include Champ Turner, Crimm Logging Crew, and fellow truck drivers. Wise Reed Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
